About
Teo Fantacci is a PhD candidate in computational neuroscience at the Sant'Anna School of Advanced Studies in Pisa, within the Brain Dynamics Lab. He came to neuroscience from physics, with an MSc in theoretical physics from the University of Trento, including a thesis at the Kavli Institute for Systems Neuroscience in Trondheim on phase transitions in a modified Hopfield network.
His research uses latent-state models and dimensionality reduction to study the dynamics and geometry of neural activity across brain areas from experimental recordings. He is currently visiting Trinity College Dublin under the supervision of Seán Froudist-Walsh for part of his PhD.
